What is a crew cab vs extended cab?

Sometimes known as a Double Cab pickup, these trucks now have a second row of small doors for easy access to the cargo area. Despite having 2 rows of seating, an Extended Cab pickup truck would not be the ideal choice for long trips, even though it can carry more people.
While maybe not as obvious as the earlier cab models, a Crew Cab pickup truck has 4 regular-size doors and the room to carry your ‘crew.’ Crew Cab trucks are made to transport more stuff and people. In some circles, these kinds of pickups have replaced the bland 4-door sedan as the family vehicle.
